Beni Ouarain rugs

The name Beni Ouarain originates from the Beni Ouarain tribe in the Middle Atlas of Morocco, known for the good quality of sheep. The Beni Ouarain tribe uses “live wool”, which is wool that is shorn from a living sheep, which makes the wool so qualitative. The Amazigh used to weave these rugs for very practical reasons as the winters could get tough.
