The unique green colour of the Tamegroute pottery is due to the baking process, whereby a combination of silicon, copper and manganese are used in the earth ovens. This technique is known by a few families from the small village Tamegroute. Tamegroute lies in Southern Morocco, right on the border with the Sahara. In the village there are 7 potteries, each from a different family. All Tamegroute items have three marks as the items are piled up in the oven. Each item is unique and has its own perfect imperfections. Spice up your kitchen with our beautiful Tamegroute collection.
