The story behind this product
The Beni Ouarain rug has become an indispensable item in the modern interior. Open any interior magazine and you will most likely find a Beni Ouarain featured in an interior. Its light, ivory colour and dark, contrasting lines and shapes make it fit well with the current minimalistic interior trend. This traditional Beni Ouarain rug is handwoven by the Beni Ouarain tribe from the Middle Atlas mountains. The Berber women wove these rugs for functional reasons: to retain heat during the strong winters in the Middle Atlas area. During the summer, the rug is turned upside down and used with the knotted side up. So you can use your Beni Ouarain rug throughout the year!
Our first collection of Beni Ouarain rugs consists of small rugs for small rooms, such as the nursery. Due to its simple design, this Dalmatier rug will fit perfectly in any room. This unique rug has two different beige tints as the Berber women needed days and a lot of wool to weave this rug. In the midst of weaving they used another pile of wool. That makes this rug so unique and authentic.
